The family and I went to have dinner on the patio on a beautiful Wisconsin August evening with surprisingly mild weather. The service was welcoming and accommodating. I appreciated seeing a new menu menu items and tried something different. Our smash burgers were perfect and the salad was spot on with everything being fresh. Another solid experience at The Oakstone.

Oakstone is amazing. Indoor and outdoor sports are all on the agenda. Simple menu (which I like) and complex drink menu (which I like). Great beer on tap, lots of games to play including a rubber duck claw game for the kids that is play-until-you-win. Off the beaten path, it's well worth the visit. Bags, volleyball, they got it all. Staff is super nice, and prices are pretty okay for a Madison suburb. (Chicken bushetta sandwich w/sides and a microbrew pint was $19) 10 out of 10, go there.

Delicious food, very clean, very personable staff, reasonable prices. Well worth the trip, if you're not starting out in Cottage Grove. It's a little off the beaten path, in a business area, but do it, you won't regret it. We ate the Gourmet Grilled Cheese with tater tots, and the Salmon BLTA with fries. All excellent.
